The importance in hearing people out

tolerance

This post touches upon something I pointed out in my previous post, namely that when Donald Trump went on the Alex Jones show for a long interview where he doesn’t get interrupted, and was given the chance to make his opinions heard, I realized that what Trump says simply doesn’t hold substance. He was talking and talking, yet it felt like nothing was coming out of his mouth.

Which sort of makes me think about how people tend to react to “controversial” figures in general. The reaction is often emotional, rather than saying: “Let’s listen to this crazy bouffoon and find out why he thinks like he does.” What Alex Jones chose to do was listen, and that’s how you extract more out of a “nutjob” to see if there’s any substance.

When you first hear something controversial it might appear like the statement has no merit nor substance, based on your preconcieved notions. And that’s why it’s important to ask questions and let the person reveal the reasoning behind their statements. If there really is no substance behind them then you’ll proven to the audience that the nutjob really does lack substance. But it could also turn out that they’ve thought about something that the rest hasn’t.

For this reason, tolerance and democratic discussion which focuses on the reasoning presented, rather than ad hominem, is a win-win situation. Either it’s proven beyond reasonable doubt that the person is a fucking moron, thus causing them to lose their mystifying appeal, or you learn something new that everyone could benefit from.

I see the American media making the same mistakes with Donald Trump, as the Swedish media has done with the Sweden Democrats. They think bullying and smear tactics are gonna make people dislike the ugly duckling. But that’s counterproductive.

When you only attack someones character and alleged intentions, the argument they presented is left un-refuted. This creates the illusion that they are in the right, even if their point could desperately need some well-deserved problematization and nuancing.

This is what we here in Sweden should have been doing with the Sweden Democrats years ago, when they were voted into parliament back in 2010. Back then they were small. Now they’re the biggest party in the opinion polls. Guess why?

The Sweden Democrats might have a shady background, but they occasionally make very sound points. And these are points no other party wants to make. Common sense statements like: “Immigrants should adapt to Sweden, not the other way around.”And “Sweden shouldn’t have more immigration than it can handle.”

Instead of refuting these points, politicians have been shouting “racist” instead. Even when the SD express common sense. What kind of effect do you think this is gonna have on the general public?

Politics is about making prioritizations. If you don’t know how to make uncomfortable yet necessary priorities, you should not be in parliament. If you choose to prioritize the citizens of other countries over Swedish citizens, you really shouldn’t represent the Swedish people. And you shouldn’t be surprised when the party who expresses peoples frustrations end up becoming bigger and bigger.

Let the scary boogeyman speak. The only reason you have to fear the words of someone, is if there’s actually some truth to it.

The Refugee Children of Sweden

Recently, the Swedish newspaper Gothenburg-Post wrote a sob story about a 16-year old unaccompanied refugee child who….. appears to be a full-grown man.

child

Does that person look 16 to you?

What’s even worse is that Avpixlat, a site often labeled as racist, completely destroyed their report simply by going on the guys facebook and looking through pictures and info. They discovered that he registered on a dating site in 2008. If his age was true then he was looking for a fuckbuddy at the age of 8. But as you can see for yourself, his age is 24 on the site.

Do I need to explain to you what a disaster it is that established journalists in the massmedia don’t even look through basic information before writing a sobby character portrait? The guy claims to be a refugee from Afghanistan and painted up this story of miserable experiences at the hands of human smugglers, while his Facebook account is full of pictures with him posing in RayBay-shades wearing a big wrist watch in Istanbul.

1

Or why not this image of him suffering at the poolside in Southern Europe? No wonder he moved to Sweden, considering how terrible his circumstances were.

2

His gallery gives the impression of tourism rather than war. In the article with GP he showed the journalists a map of his travel route: Afghanistan – Pakistan – Iran – Turkey – Greece – Makedonia – Serbia – Hungary – Austria – Germany – Denmark – Sweden. Several of these are safe countries yet they don’t ask him any questions about why he’s avoided seeking asylum in them.

When he came to Sweden it was winter and “all he owned was a mobile phone and the clothes he was wearing.” There’s no explanation to how he was able to lose his passport but not his iPhone. Like the majority of people granted asylum in Sweden he hasn’t been able to verify his identity.

Case workers at the Migration board have said that asylum seekers from Syria and Eritrea ger their application granted in nearly 100% of the cases, yet 72% of applicants from Eritrea lack passports and for Syria the number is 98%. They simply don’t know if the person is who they say they are, and they don’t really care either because the order from higher ups is basically to accept as many as possible in as short of a time span as possible.

When case workers at the Migration board turn on their workcomputer a message pops up to remind them of the boards vision: “We view migration as a positive force, something that contributes to making our country richer both financially and culturally.”

A former case worker at the Migration board wrote a debate article saying it’s far too easy for ISIS-terrorists to get into Sweden, because even if the workers get suspicious there’s no time to investigate. Cases are supposed to be handled in max 1.5 hours compared to the 2.5 hours a “normal” asylum application takes.

As a case worker you’re expected to hand in at least 3 finished decisions per week, the number of finished errands decide your individual pay grade and possibility for permanent employment. In other words, the work theme is “the more the merrier” and you are given the choice to either keep your job – or do a good job.

Does this man look like 16 to you?

Does this guy look like 17 to you? Should he be in a school with other 17-year olds?

The number of children seeking asylum in Sweden has exploded over the last ten years, presumably because children are granted asylum much quicker than adults and Swedish authorities don’t verify the age of these so called children. The Migration board is expecting 30’000 unaccompanied refugee children to arrive in Sweden 2015. In Denmark, they put 282 unaccompanied refugee children through age tests and found out that 203 of them were adults lying about their age.

In Norway, teeth x-rays revealed that 9 out of 10 unaccompanied refugee children are above the age of 18. Sometimes they are as much as 10 years older. Asha from Somalia said she was 19 when she was actually 30 and for her that’s entailed life-threatening issues. She has high blood pressure but is wrongly medicated due to her incorrect age. She is quoted in the article saying: “The doctor changes medication all the time but it doesn’t help, but I can’t say anything about my age.”

So put simply: This is fucked up for everyone involved. Immigrants lying about their age can be given the wrong medication which contributes to their death, if they say they’re younger than their actual age they’ll also have to work longer and retire later than what’s normal. It’s also bad for Swedish taxpayers who are financing these con artists, but the ones who get it absolute worst of all are actual refugee children who are starving to death in refugee camps that lack funds.

Some weeks ago the government came out and said that they were going to take 8.2 billion SEK from our humanitarian aid budget and put it on refugees who come to Sweden instead. And they declared this the day after UN came out and said they had to cancel food and water for 360’000 refugees near the conflict area due to lack of funds. Now, our prime minister is saying even more money is gonna have to be taken from the aid budget.

Tino Sanandaji is a kurdish national economist in Sweden and his response to this is as following: “The UN:s resources for 2.5 million Afghan refugees equals the cost of 300 unaccompanied refugee children for one year. Cutting down on healthcare and schooling for millions of poor in order to afford a few expensive refugees in Sweden isn’t “taking responsibility”, it’s blatant madness. It will only seem as reasonable to our government because they’re captured in mass psychosis. What Sweden is about to do is a misdeed of historical proportions, and those who have pushed this forward have many lives on their hands.”

He links to an article by Reuters which explains that because of the “migrant crisis” dominating headlines and demanding cash, the UNHCR in Pakistan has received only $33.6 million for 2015 out of its $136.7 million annual budget.

So if you support asylum immigration to Sweden, you’re also supporting the oppression of the poor and excluded in other countries. Basically, the world has officially gone full retard. In Sweden you’re considered racist if you don’t want to accept refugees because that means you don’t care about poor foreigners in need. But according to that line of logic you’re also racist if you want refugees in Sweden, because that means you don’t care about poor foreigners in need.

Clearly, everyone is racist.

Asylum seekers? More like luxury seekers.

Here’s yet another protest by refugees who claim that they’re being treated badly in Sweden: http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=86&artikel=6271692

In this case the food isn’t good enough, therefore they decided to put together signs and go stand in the town square to demand “respect”. Apparently it’s very disrespectful that the staff at the asylum house put together a menu with arab food for them, but aren’t cooking it the same way that they’re used to in their home country. One of the spokespersons for the protest said: “If you’re gonna make food then please – make it good.”

Apparently the food is such a big deal it warrants them holding up signs with the dead 3-year old kurdish boy Alan and text saying: “Don’t kill us again.”

The article says that there were also other complaints, but doesn’t specify what this is other than one of the other refugees saying that the food isn’t the main issue and that they “need to be treated as humans”.

In another article however, in a newspaper, the refugees claimed that the staff yells at them about all things possible. The owner, however, says that it’s simply not true but that they have to tell the refugees firmly if they catch them smoking in their rooms, something the staff has been clear isn’t allowed. She is also saddened by the criticsm because she feels it boils down to misunderstandings, and that they also do a lot for the refugees that they don’t have to do. For example, they give them Wi-Fi access in their rooms and TV’s with arabic channels.

One refugee also claimed that a staff member roughly grabbed her son in order to take away a toy which the little boy was intending on bringing to the restaurant, and that her son started screaming from the fear and pain. The owner, however, isn’t familiar with this incident. (Let’s be honest, kids will go apeshit whenever you try to take something from them.)

Honestly, I don’t know whether or not this protest is warranted. It’s entirely possible that privately owned asylum houses are corrupted and compromise the living standard of their housing in order to cheat themselves to more money, but it’s also possible that these refugees are just spoiled. They seem to be expecting better food than we give our elderly citizens, and it’s not the first time we’ve seen examples of luxury seekers around these here parts in Scandinavia.

In Finland, three Iraqi refugees posted a videoclip on Facebook saying: “We’re already considering returning to Iraq. We regret coming to Finland. We were wrong! We paid huge sums all for nothing. In Iraq you think everything is so extraordinary in Europe, that Europe is something divine. But it’s just completely ordinary here.”

Completely ordinary = life without bombs. What the hell, did he think they were going to Disneyland or something? If they had arrived there he probably would’ve complained about the rollercoasters too.

“The situation in Europe is tough. Sure, you’re safe here, but the toilets are dirty, there isn’t any clothes, food is expensive… The portions at receptioncentrals are small, they’re not even enough for children. Running from your country is terribly humiliating. You can’t get a job here. It was wrong to come here.”

They even go so far as to say: “Stay in your home country if you’re there, even if it means death or being hurt. At least you’re home in your country.”

At the same time you can read that around 40 refugees have decided to return to Iraq instead of waiting for asylum in Sweden, since the process can be very long. One really has to wonder: How great is the threat of death in your home country if you’re willing to return just because you might end up waiting in Sweden?

Numbers from Eurostat show that only 1 in 5 refugees are actually from Syria. Half a million migrants have arrived in Europe so far this year, with 156,000 coming in August alone. Rather than claiming asylum in the first safe EU country they reach, most head on toward wealthy northern countries.

Refugees who were interviewed by Danish television were asked why they didn’t stay in a peaceful country. The reply was that Denmark has too low welfare checks, so therefore they want to Sweden instead. When interviewed, a syrian refugee confirmed this image saying that the majority of people claiming to be refugees are simply trying to upgrade their living standard and exploit european welfare-societies. So did this one testify.

What conclusions are there to be drawn here? Is Sweden a shit country that can’t accept refugees properly, or are certain refugees just spoilt brats? One thing is for sure: During the Balkan crisis in the 90s, us Bosnian refugees didn’t complain about not being able to create music in the asylum house. An incident in December 2014 had 40-something refugees refuse to get off the bus in protest because the asylum house they were gonna live in “is too cold” and they didn’t like having to live 8 people in one room. They even went so far as to imply that the refugee camp in Lebanon they lived in for 2 years prior was better because “even though we had to sleep on the street we weren’t cold there”. They even planned a hunger strike because of their discontent.

Another paper reported how refugees were disappointed because they had to wait a whole week for a dental appointment. Here’s the kicker though: Asylum seekers in Sweden get free dental while waiting to have their asylum application treated. Swedish citizens do not get free dental. In fact, a 55-year old woman was forced to sell nearly all her possessions in order to afford dental work for a tumor in her jaw, and over the past 10 years she’s spent 250’000 SEK on dental work because of her condition.

And there are some places in Sweden where you have to wait 5 years for an appointment because the dental service is legally obliged to accept refugee children first and foremost. Swedish adults seeking service are told to visit private clinics instead. Keeping all this mind, perhaps the refugees shouldn’t bitch about having to wait a week considering that our public health sector is strained as it is.

Another bus protest occured because the refugees felt the rooms are too small and too far into the woods.

And recently 30 out of 100 refugees were so unhappy with being placed at a military camp in Åstön that they started marching by foot to Sundsvall to reach the train station there. Apparently it was unacceptable that it’s so cold, no stores and no communications nearby. (The weather at the time of the article varied between +4°C and +14°C. If you have a problem with cold, why do you come to a country where the winter temperature can be way below zero?)
They wanted to live in a city and didn’t appreciate ending up “in the middle of nowhere.” Now, tell me something. Does this look like unacceptable living standards for someone who’s fled the threat of death in the Middle East?

åston militärförläggning

It is clear that many asylum seekers who come to Sweden expect a very high standard of living, even at an asylum house. But can you blame them? Our politicians are just as deceptive as the human smugglers are. Sure, our politicians might not say that you will get a free house and a Swedish girlfriend if you come to Sweden – like the smugglers say – but they sure give off the illusion that everything is going to be fine. As if there’s housing and jobs for everyone.

Newsflash: There isn’t. The local migration authorities all basically say the same thing when these refugee protests take place: The system is strained. We’re taking in a lot of people, perhaps more than we can handle, so this is what we have to offer at the moment.

I mean freaking hell, in Jönköping we even had to move 40 refugees to another asylum house in order to fit more newly arrived refugees. So we’re basically moving refugees to fit refugees. And guess what? That turned into a protest too.

In another case two female volunteers who were handing out free clothes at an asylum house were beaten and threatened by an asylum seeker in his 40’s, because apparently “the residents have felt frustrated by not being able to pick clothes on their own. They’re upset that we’re telling them to write up what they need on a list, and that we’re organising and handing out the clothes according to that.” The boss also says that they’re “used to handling situations like this.”

Here’s another case. Seriously, look at the video in the article linked. They’re playing football in a grass field, they say that there is internet and ping-pong tables there, and that they came to Sweden because they heard that it’s the best country in the world: “The people are so nice and understand the meaning of human rights.”
And yet, they are disappointed. Why? Because they have “nothing to do all day”, and “we have been living here for 14 days and nobody from the Migration board has come to greet us and ask us how we’re doing, and if we need anything. That would have made it feel more motivated to come here. Knowing that someone takes an interest in us would have been enough.”

Basically they sound like a bad female stereotype that gets angry at you for not spending every waking moment catering to her mood swings and reading her mind when she’s pouty. You should KNOW what you did wrong, you bastard!

Furthermore, they go on to say that they live in a room that looks like a prison and complain about not being able to open the window. They literally say that it’s their “biggest problem” there, because when they close the door it gets “stuffy”. Their conclusion is that they regret coming to Sweden becuse they have “nothing” here. Seriously. Watch the video I linked, see for yourself what their room looks like, and then ask yourself: Is that a reasonable reaction for someone who has fled the threat of death?

This makes me think of the incident that I started this blogpost with. In that case, the asylum seekers got together and protested because they demand “respect”. Respect is a good word considering some of the incidents we have seen in Sweden over the past year or so. One simply has to wonder how these so called “refugees” are showing respect by coming to a country and shitting on everyone that’s helping them. Surely, demanding things from strangers as if you were a kid is the complete opposite of respect?

I would like you, dear reader, to perform a thought experiment: Try to imagine what country you would look down upon enough in order to be able to behave like those “refugees” are doing.

Personally, I don’t believe that they are all innocent victims like the media wants to portray. I am absolutely sure that some of them are real refugees. I remember that when I heard of one of the first bus protests there was a refugee woman who came with the same bus, she was interviewed by reporters and she said that she was very grateful for Sweden taking her in, and that those who were protesting should be ashamed of themselves, and that they didn’t represent everyone on that bus. I am sure of that, and that many are real refugees. However, I also suspect that many are simply luxury seekers.

Real refugees would be greatful to escape the threat of death. I came to Sweden as a war refugee when I was a child, and most of these people I’ve listed in this post make me fucking sick. They have no place in Sweden. They are not refugees. They are people who want to live their entire life on Swedish welfare.

“Im gonna fuck you on Thursday”, Ali explained to the welfare case worker

afghanistan_0

This is a true story, but it sounds like some kind of comic book.

It all started in the Haga gymnasium of Borlänge. Ali, who is 21 years old and arrived in Sweden as a “unaccompanied refugee child”, went to the school and told the principal he wanted to start there. But the principal, Tommy, explained to Ali that he’s too old for gymnasium. A gymnasium is a secondary school focused on preparing students to enter a university for advanced academic study and normally the students are 16, 17 and 18. What Ali needed to enroll in was komvux, a special school for adults looking to repair their grades.

This process repeated itself several times over. On numerous occasions the young man showed up to the school, forcing the principal to explain time and time again (once with the assistance of a counselor) that Ali was simply too old to attend a school with 16-year olds. And as a result of that, Ali finally decided to violently punch the principal in the back of the neck. As soon as Tommy had turned his back, Ali was reminded of the quintessential saying by the Roman poet Horatius: “Seize the day” – KAPOW!

carpe

A few days later Ali shows up to the welfare office and demands more money. He says he gambled up the money he got. When they denied him money he decided to kick apart several of the workers cars.

car

The next day he returned again with more demands. When he, yet again, was denied money he threatened to burn the place down and told a female social worker that he was going to “fuck her on Thursday”. On his way out he threw a trashcan through the window and also smashed the interior of the office.

door

After that he went downtown, saw a city guide, grabbed the megaphone-equipment that was hanging around the guide’s neck and almost threw him down some stairs.

Yet another couple of days later he returned again. This time they had assigned security guards to protect the staff from this scoundrel. The guards recognized him and went to reject him, when Ali decided to punch one of them in the face. Then he smashed a window causing shards to fly, which cut the other guards hand. Ali then continued smashing office interior and threw a trashcan. Afterwards he molested 3 female employees who were taking a break outside of the building. One was slapped, another woman was kicked and the third woman was shoved.

It was first after all this that the police decided to do something. When they interrogated him, Ali let them know that the Swedish school system sucks, and he started boasting about how much better life is in Iran. Among other things he claimed that in Iran he was allowed to go to school how much he wanted, that the police treated him to food and that he’s being treated like an animal in Sweden. He also denied all the allegations and painted the image of himself as a victim.

Basically, this guy took on Sweden the same way you take on a new city in Grand Theft Auto. And it’s not even certain he’s gonna be spending so much as a year in prison, no less get deported.

But hey, that’s what happens when you build an entire justice system on the notion that everyone who behaves badly is a victim of their surroundings. This is an entirely separate case where a 19-year old stabbed two security guards. They were both injured severely, and the prosecutor had this to say:

“But at some point you have to ask yourself if it’s really necessary to keep a 19-year old locked up? This man has nearly no criminal record and doesn’t belong to the “dangerous guys”. In that case you need to compare the proportions and think of the trauma it entails for a 19-year old to be locked up when he should be going to school.”

Reminds me of that time a completely different prosecutor didn’t want to push to get a Somalian citizen deported, after the immigrant had raped a woman while she was dying from a drug overdose. The prosecutors reasoning was that he “doesn’t understand why a somalian woman would be worth any less than a swedish woman. If he’s deported he could commit crimes in his home country, and I don’t differentiate between people like that.”

Eventually the prosecutor did change his mind and managed to get through a deportation plea, but it’s only valid for 10 years. After that the necrophiliac rapist is welcome back to Sweden.

The same prosecutor also said it’s rare that criminal immigrants get deported from Sweden. I believe him. It doesn’t feel like justice happens very often in this country. A 23-year old immigrant once assaulted a senior-citizen couple and ended up killing the 78-year old woman of the couple. He punched her in the face so she fell to the ground, and she hurt her head so badly from the fall that she died two days later. The 23-year old got 1 year and 8 months in prison, and didn’t get deported.

Let’s get back to the bad boy rebel Ali who wants to rape his social worker. A witness account on the forum Flashback says that the principals of that particular gymnasium were completely passive when one of their students was bullied into changing schools. This is because the student was a Sweden Democrat, and apparently the principal didn’t want to take a stand for such a terrible filthy racist. Funny then, that his reward for antiracist altruism ended up becoming a taste of multiculturalism gone wild.
